and social gains

We are leadership-focused social entrepreneurs and impact investors.
About Us
We pride ourselves on being sought out by a range of clients, from asset owners, investment advisers, family wealth groups, benevolent trusts, wealth management agencies, and government.
We make investments where we see alignment with our portfolio and passionately believe we can give our partners an advantage. We believe in supporting quality organisations that are making a real impact to scale, and we often on principles of decentralisation, post-bureaucracy, and empowering people.

Our team

Kollen knows how to build and run organisations that work. Kollen’s secret is focusing on the experience of customers, and on ensuring happy and healthy teams with the support of systems, systems, systems for all the things that matter. Kollen draws on his decades of senior and executive leadership in education, health, and human services while he is running One Good* Day, OnSide and Ablelink alongside Sam. Collaborating is Kollen’s happy place. He is an active networker and loves to learn more about others and share his learnt and lived experiences (aka have a yarn!). Kollen moonlights (after-school hours only) as an Uber driver, ferrying his daughters between ju-jitsu, soccer and art classes, not to mention spending most weekends at the local beach putting Nippers through their paces. Kollen is always the optimist and finds a way to persist through anything that’s put in front of him, including ultra long runs.

You don’t have to talk to too many people before you find someone who has been in some meeting with Sam. For his modest 17 years in the social gains sector, he sure has ended up in some interesting roles. Sam seems to be at home wherever you put him – writing complex policy and strategy, implementing said policy and strategy, doing executive and senior leadership or direct service delivery… Sam just wants to be a small part of building better communities with businesses that effect real change. His day jobs include running One Good* Day, OnSide and Ablelink with Kollen and building Duplo cities with his sons for his wife Julia. Sam knows quite a bit about leadership and governance and his favourite topics include community mental health, and accommodation including Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
